Office
chairs have a variety of features and benefits. When
you begin comparing office chairs, look for these following
attributes:
Adjustability: Check to see what features
are adjustable. How high (and low) can the seat be
adjusted? Can that back be adjusted? Are the armrests
adjustable?
Seat Height Range: Find out the range the
seat height can be adjusted to. For an optimal seat
height, divide the user’s body height by 4.
Keep in mind that this number can be adjusted based
on a person’s torso-to-leg ratio.
Backrest: Make sure the backrest can
be adjusted both up and down, and front to back.
Seat Depth: How wide is the seat of the
selected office chair? If it’s to be used by
multiple people, make sure you choose one that will
fit both your tallest and shortest users.
Stability: Your office chair should
be balanced on a five point base for optimal stability
